Who Am I?

My name’s Charles and I’m just a typical American guy who likes living here in Taiwan. I better like it, because I’ve been here 10 years this month. I can’t believe it! 10 years…wow. I love to exercise: I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and I always do spinning. I also like to play a sport called Ultimate Frisbee. Never heard of it? That’s OK, many Americans haven’t, either. Are there dogs you wonder? No dogs. I also love music. You might not guess it, but my undergraduate degree is in music performance. I play the violin and I’m a member of an orchestra here in Taipei. I always look forward to performing with my orchestra. I enjoy teaching very much. I have an interest in sharing my experiences and culture observations with anyone who will listen. I can speak some Mandarin, but no Taiwanese. Why have I stayed in Taiwan for so long? I guess you could say it’s the food.
